Beef Pepper Lunch in 10 Minutes

A hot plate rice dish made with sliced beef, corn, butter, and a savoury soy-based sauce.
Everything is cooked gently, mixed together, and served straight from the plate.

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl cooked white rice
  • 0.5 lbs sliced beef
  • ¼ cup corn
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 small cube butter
  • 1 tbsp soy and scallion powder

Instructions

1. Heat a hot plate over low heat. Place the cooked rice in the centre of the plate.
2. Lightly brush oil around the rice to prevent sticking. Arrange the frozen sliced beef
around the rice.
3. Add the corn and spring onion around the plate.
4. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, ginger paste, garlic paste, mirin, sake, and sugar until
combined.
5. Place the butter cube on top of the rice. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and
rice.
6. Allow the beef to cook gently, then mix everything together on the hot plate until
evenly combined.
7. Sprinkle with soy and scallion powder and serve immediately.
